Building Prediction Markets In Web3 Accelerators
Ava Labs' Codebase direction and the co-founders of Inertia discuss building a startup in today's market
Welcome back to Talking Tokens.
Today’s episode was a fun one to record – and the most people I’ve had in one recording at the same time. Great banter, great conversations and all around great insights.
Hope you all enjoy!

The latest Talking Tokens podcast 🎙️
For this week’s Tuesday episode, we’re sharing an episode I recorded last week in a podcast studio near the Avalanche Summit, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Our guests include Michael Martin, director of Codebase at Ava Labs, and Inertia co-founders Marc Villafuerte, Anish Lathker and Kainoa Kanter. Codebase is an Avalanche-focused web3 accelerator program and Inertia is a community-led predictions market.
We discuss what accelerator programs are like into today’s market, why Inertia chose to build on Avalanche, the state of prediction markets and more.
Marc, Anish and Kainoa really demonstrate what it’s like to operate as young founders in the space, while also navigating through startup and macroeconomic conditions. Meanwhile, Michael shares insights into what type of startups Codebase is interested in supporting and how it “de-emphasizes fundraising support,” among other things.
Talking Tokens episodes are released on Spotify and Apple Podcasts at 6AM EST or YouTube at 10AM EST every Tuesday and Thursday.
